Warm ups that keep you healthy and help you sing!

Oh no! Not warm-ups!! Yes we start every session with a thorough warm up. By the end everyone is smiling and laughing and feeling thorougly relaxed and envigorated. And what's more our voices are in the right place to get the best sound and we've got our breathing in gear.

What next? Well it could be almost anything from simple to more complicated rounds which help us to make harmony very easily; or lyrical songs in unison which produce beautiful legato singing; something familiar or something new in harmony.

Do I need to be able to read music?

No, we use music for some pieces but not for others, but we do take the opportunity to understand how written music works and to improve our music reading and sight singing techniques. It really is something for everyone!

Things people say about Singing for Pleasure

Nobody minds if you sing something wrong. If a piece really goes awry we all just laugh and try again! Frances has endless patience and can always get us back on the right track.
